"Boeing reps talk big benefits in South Carolina"

Myrtle Beach    WMBF News    October 29, 2009

WMBF News interviews Nexsen Pruet board chairman Leighton Lord about Boeing's potential impact on South Carolina.

On October 29th, Lord talked with Kerri O'Hara about why the company selected North Charleston for its new facility, the jobs that are coming to the state and the ripple effect that Boeing is expected to have.

"First of all, the Executive branch and Legislative branch worked together in a way we haven't seen a long time and both need to be commended for a great job," Lord said.  "The legislation sets a target of 3,800... it's hard to tell with a factory this big and a facility this big, but the multiplier will go beyond that from the jobs that will come in with suppliers and others."
