"South Carolina may end some sales tax exemptions" The Greenville News August 25, 2009

The August 28th edition of The Greenville News reports on a "special commission charged with reviewing South Carolina tax policy."
Reporter Rudolph Bell interviewed Nexsen Pruet's Burnie Maybank, who is one of eleven members of the South Carolina Tax Realignment Commission. Maybank said "some of the sales tax exemptions have definitely outlived their useful lives." The commission is set to begin meeting and is expected to report back to lawmakers next spring.
