News Alert: NC and SC Counties Join Immigration Enforcement Partnership

Charleston County, SC and Guilford County, NC have entered into immigration enforcement partnerships with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The announcement of agreements with 11 jurisdictions came from DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano on Friday, July 10th. The department says the "287(g)" partnerships will improve "public safety by removing criminal aliens who are a threat to local communities and providing uniform policies for partner state and local immigration enforcement efforts."   Click here to read the full news release from the DHS.
