"Liability possible for officer who didn't provide information, rules N.C. Court of Appeals" Guy Loranger Dolan Media Newswire / NC Lawyers Weekly June 8, 2009
Nexsen Pruet attorney Brooks Bossong is interviewed for an article entitled "Liability possible for officer who didn't provide information, rules N.C. Court of Appeals."
The article appeared in the June 8th edition of NC Lawyers Weekly and on Dolan Media Newswire.
Bossong told reporter Guy Loranger that the "statute can lead to a pretty harsh result, as it did in this case, but I can see why it was enacted." Bossong said if "you get a judgment against a corporation, and the sheriff's department shows up at the corporation, and the officers and other folks working there refuse to cooperate, then you're left with nothing but a piece of paper. So, this essentially says they have to cooperate."
