J. Michael Jordan Joins Nexsen Pruet’s Business Litigation Group

J. Michael Jordan has joined Nexsen Pruet’s Business Litigation Group as a member.  Jordan will practice in the firm’s Hilton Head office.

Mike Jordan is a trial attorney who has defended product liability cases across the United States.  He has successfully tried commercial and environmental lawsuits and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy courts.  Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Jordan was the leader of the Product Liability Group at the Gardere Law Firm in Houston, Texas.

During his legal career, Jordan has represented a wide range of manufacturers, distributors and retailers.  His clients are from industries such as children’s products, electronics, medical devices, nursing homes, manufacturers of components used in transportation, and in chemical and refining operations.  He represents foreign and domestic entities with issues arising from government regulation of products and recalls.

Jordan earned Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina where he was Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe.  He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas, as well as numerous federal district and appellate courts.
