John Hardaway Chairman-Elect of US Section of International IP Organization July 3, 2006
GREENVILLE, SC - John B. Hardaway, III, a member of the Nexsen Pruet law firm, has been voted Chairman-Elect of the United States Section of an international group of patent and trademark attorneys.
Hardaway, who practices at Nexsen Pruet's Greenville location, was elected at the Paris Convention of the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI) last month. He has previously served as the Secretary of the FICPI’s United States Section and as an alternate delegate to the FICPI Executive Committee.
Hardaway, who has practiced Intellectual Property Law for 30 years, sat on a trademark panel with His Honour Judge Michael Fysh of the Queens Bench in Great Britain while at the Paris Convention. He also spoke in November on Trademark Licensing at the Lisbon, Portugal conference of the FICPI.
The FICPI is the largest Intellectual Property organization in the world. Founded nearly 100 years ago, the FICPI boasts 3800 members in 80 countries.
