The Business Journal Honors Burnham with "Women In Business" Award

Greensboro, NC - Margaret Shea Burnham, a Member in the Greensboro office of Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier, has been included in the 2006 class of the "Women in Business" award from The Business Journal.

Burnham concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions and litigation. She is certified as a Specialist in Real Property Law - Business, Commercial, and Industrial Transactions by the North Carolina State Bar.

"Margaret has truly earned this recognition," said Leighton Lord, chairman of the board of Nexsen Pruet. "We’re proud she's representing us in such a prestigious group of women professionals."

Burnham was one of just 15 to earn the 2006 recognition, which celebrates the "outstanding contributions of the Triad's leading businesswomen." Earlier this year, she was named among North Carolina's "Super Lawyers" in a survey by Law & Politics, the parent publication of North Carolina Super Lawyers.

A graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law, she is a certified mediator; a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; and a Councilor for the 18th Judicial District of the North Carolina State Bar. She is a former member of the North Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors and former chair of its Real Property Section Council.
