Hilton Head Attorneys Licensed in GA

HILTON HEAD, SC - Melissa L. Azallion has been sworn into the Georgia Bar, becoming the third attorney in Nexsen Pruet’s Hilton Head office to be admitted to practice in Georgia as well as South Carolina.

Azallion practices in the employment and immigration groups. Other Nexsen Pruet attorneys admitted to the Bar in Georgia are Jeffrey D. Locker, whose practice includes banking and finance, land use and zoning, real estate, and resort development; and Andrea P. Easler, who practices in the real estate group.

“Real estate and immigration issues are key concerns to businesses along the South Carolina and Georgia coasts,” said Leighton Lord, chairman of the board of Nexsen Pruet. “Having three attorneys who can provide representation in these and related matters helps our firm serve this part of the region.”

Azallion, an Associate in the firm, represents individuals and corporate clients in multiple industries, including higher education, manufacturing, health care, hospitality, government, and technology. She serves on the board of directors for the Latin American Council of South Carolina, is vice chair of the Lowcountry Workforce Investment Board, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Locker, a Member of the firm, concentrates primarily on land use law, real estate development, interstate land sales, condominium, secured transactions, and commercial lending. In addition to being licensed in South Carolina and Georgia, he is also a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Easler was a staff attorney with the South Carolina Court of Appeals before joining Nexsen Pruet as an Associate. Her practice areas include land use and zoning, real estate, and resort development.
