John Hardaway Elected to Board of International Intellectual Property Organization

GREENVILLE, SC - The American British and Canadian Sections of FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Counseils en Propriété Industrielle) held its annual meeting in Portsmouth New Hampshire, June 1-7, 2004, with delegates of National Sections invited.

FICPI member, and Nexsen Pruet, LLC attorney, John B. Hardaway III helped organize a key panel discussion, which involved the Commissioners of Patents of the U.S., UK and Canada. The Commissioners discussed the functions of the various patent offices and anticipated future of those patent offices. Mr. Hardaway also presented a comparison of U.S. and Japanese inventor compensation systems.

Mr. Hardaway was elected to the FICPI Executive Board of the U.S. Section where he will act as Secretary for the upcoming year.
