Nexsen Pruet Further Expands Charleston Office; Adding Two New Attorneys April 14, 2004
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Nexsen Pruet, LLC has expanded its Charleston office for the second time in less than a month with the announcement that Jeffrey S. Tibbals and Jason C. Lynch have joined the firm as Associates.
Tibbals will practice in the area of commercial litigation, focusing primarily on business and real estate litigation. He also has significant experience in environmental law. Lynch will concentrate his practice on tax law.
The addition of Tibbals and Lynch follows the announcement that Tom Tisdale, one of South Carolina's most respected attorneys, had left the firm he helped found to join Nexsen Pruet's Charleston office as a litigator.
"Jeff and Jason are bright, young lawyers who bring depth to the firm, and skill and value to our clients," said Al Pollard, Managing Partner of Nexsen Pruet. "They have strong backgrounds in their respective practice areas, and will play an important role in the ongoing growth of our Charleston office."
Tibbals earned his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and his J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University. He also earned a certificate in environmental studies from Tulane, and was chief administrator of the law school honor board.
He interned for U.S. District Court Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the Eastern District of Louisiana. After graduating from law school, Tibbals joined the Washington, D.C., office of a national general practice law firm, working in the commercial litigation section.
Lynch earned his undergraduate degree from Wofford College and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He also has an L.L.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Lynch served as in-house counsel for Diversified Resource Management, Inc., where he structured real estate transactions and related financing.
Both Tibbals and Lynch are members of the South Carolina Bar.
