Robinson To Head Clemson Advancement Foundation

Charleston, S.C. -- Neil C. Robinson, Jr.a Member of Nexsen Pruet Jacobs Pollard & Robinson, LLC, was installed as President of the Clemson Advancement Foundation for Design and Building.

The foundation funds and supports the University's architectural, arts, and historic preservation programs in Genoa, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; and Charleston, where Robinson lives and practices.

Current foundation projects include design and construction of a new building in Charleston that will house programs for advanced architectural studies and historic preservation. The project is being undertaken in conjunction with the College of Charleston and the City of Charleston.

"The Clemson Advancement Foundation will become a major contributor to the cultural and educational climate in Charleston," Robinson said. "It provides a wonderful opportunity for us to learn about, learn from, and better appreciate our architectural heritage. I am greatly honored to serve the Foundation, and look forward to further expanding its base of support."

At Nexsen Pruet, Robinson has broad experience in a number of practice areas. These include complex real estate transactions; especially related to permitting, zoning, and property rights issues. He is a graduate of Clemson University and the University of South Carolina School of Law.

He is a past president of the South Carolina Tourism Council, president of the Coastal Properties Institute, and a member of the Recreation Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. He is also a past president of the Charleston Education Network, and presently serves as President of the Southeastern Wildlife Foundation.
