Hardaway appointed Chairman of the AIPLA Japan Practice Committee

Greenville, SC -- John Hardaway, a co-leader of the Intellectual Property Practice of Nexsen Pruet Jacobs & Pollard, LLC, has been appointed Chairman of the AIPLA Japan Practice Committee. The Japan Practice Committee is under the guidance of the President and the Executive Director of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and has responsibility of establishing and maintaining relations with professional societies in Japan associated with intellectual property. The Committee also reports to the AIPLA issues of Japanese patent law and practice and also reciprocally provides information on U.S. Intellectual Property Law to professional associations in Japan.

Mr. Hardaway is a past president of the Carolina Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law Association, and is past chairman of the Japanese Patent Office Liaison Council of the U.S. Bar. He is also a member of Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle and a delegate to the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Bar and has been a delegate with the Citizens Ambassador's Programs on patent and trademark related projects to China, Japan and the former Soviet Union.
