Community Service
Nexsen Pruet is committed to making meaningful contributions to the communities we serve. Dedicated to helping those in need and improving the quality of life in North and South Carolina, our attorneys and staff volunteer with dozens of charities throughout both states.
Each year, the firm's Columbia office raises money and collects canned goods for the Oliver Gospel Mission at Thanksgiving.
Our Charleston office has an on-going relationship with Memminger Elementary School. In March of 2009, more than a dozen Nexsen Pruet lawyers and staff members helped students celebrate the end of the writing portion of the PASS test. And, our office has been publicly recognized for working with the school. Click here to watch a video about Nexsen Pruet’s relationship with Memminger Elementary.

We also have a strong tie to Healthy Learners, a South Carolina children's charity that provides health care to thousands of disadvantaged children. A former Nexsen Pruet attorney helped start the organization with $200 from his wallet, and since then it has become a Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine ministry. When he was Nexsen Pruet Board Chairman, Leighton Lord, created a program called Tribuddies. Through it, “Bigs” and “Littles” from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia are paired with coaches to train for triathlons.
