Trudy Ennis concentrates her practice in the areas of employment and labor law litigation, employment and labor law, civil litigation, and alternative dispute resolution (including mediation and arbitration). Ms. Ennis advises employer clients on a broad range of employment-related issues in addition to her litigation, agency and administrative representation of employer clients. She has experience in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, employment contract claims, and claims based on non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. She also has experience negotiating and drafting employment-related contracts (including severance, non-compete, confidentiality, and terms of employment) and employment handbooks.
Ms. Ennis recevied her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, and her M.A. degree from Western Carolina University. She received her J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of the North Carolina Law Review and of the Order of the Coif. Before attending law school, Ms. Ennis taught English.
Ms. Ennis has been actively involved in committees and activities of the North Carolina Bar Association.
