Michael J Hickerson

Michael J. Hickerson practices with Nexsen Pruet's banking and finance practice group.

Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Hickerson worked with Haynes and Boone in Houston, where he was member of the Financial Transactions Practice Group and represented borrowers and financial institutions in commercial loan transactions. In 2007, he was selected as a “ Texas Rising Star ” by Law and Politics and Texas Monthly magazines.

Hickerson ’ s experience includes working with banks, equity funds, and other lending institutions and borrowers in secured, syndicated, and sole lender transactions involving revolving loans, term loans, equity participations, and letters of credit secured by various collateral.

Additionally, he has handled a wide range of litigation matters, including consumer fraud claims, landlord/tenant disputes, nuisance claims, and property disputes. Hickerson has also represented secured lenders in lender liability claims and in collection actions after default by the borrower.
