James A. Blair, III

James A. (Jim) Blair, III practices in the areas of real estate development, real property transactions, real estate litigation, corporate law, and utilities.

Mr. Blair represents developers and public and private corporations.  Mr. Blair's real estate practice focuses on real estate development, including acquisition, development agreements, securities issues, commercial leasing, and public and private utility work.

Mr. Blair's litigation practice is limited to real property disputes and he has first chair trial experience in both state and federal courts involving complex matters such as shopping center development disputes, private utilities matters, title litigation, office building acquisition and leasing disputes and mold issues.

Mr. Blair has instructed numerous continuing legal education courses on a variety of real property and related topics, and has been an active member of the South Carolina Bar Association, where he has served on both the South Carolina Bar's Professional Responsibility Committee and the Ethics Committee.

Mr. Blair earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his law degree from the Syracuse University School of Law. He also received a Certificate in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.
