Andrew Colvin's wide-ranging experience in real estate, corporate finance, local government and business development has benefited his clients in the greater Hilton Head area, including Beaufort County, Jasper County and Colleton County. A native of Easley, South Carolina, Mr. Colvin also maintains relationships with clients in the greater Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston areas of South Carolina. Mr. Colvin currently resides in Bluffton, South Carolina with his wife and daughter.
Mr. Colvin is a member of the Real Estate and Corporate Practice Groups of Nexsen Pruet. He provides a broad set of services to individuals, small businesses and middle-market companies relating to land acquisitions, residential and commercial transactions, resort development, golf and recreational club matters, condominiums, lease agreements, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, non-profit and for-profit corporations, real and personal property tax appeals, lien and collection matters, due diligence matters, zoning and land use matters, entitlements, development agreements, commercial lending counsel, and general real estate, banking and finance matters.
Mr. Colvin is an active member of and leader in the local community. He serves on the Town of Bluffton Planning Commission and is a member of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Affairs Committee. He is a graduate of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Leadership Class of 2008. Mr. Colvin is also a member of the Young Leaders Group of the Urban Land Institute.
Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Mr. Colvin worked as a corporate finance analyst with GBS Finanzas in Madrid, Spain where he helped structure merger and acquisition transactions. He also served as a consultant at the USC Small Business Development Center in Columbia, SC where he assisted start-up and existing companies obtain financing and in drafting their business plans.
In addition to being a member of the South Carolina Bar, Mr. Colvin holds a Broker-in-Charge license with the South Carolina Real Estate Commission and holds a Title Insurance Agent's License with the South Carolina Department of Insurance.

In 2009, there will be a countywide reassessment in Beaufort County. Due primarily to market conditions, the Beaufort County Assessor's Office has said it expects a record number of appeals this year. While we hope the assessor’s appraisals would fall in line with recent market conditions, we believe that in many cases your taxes may actually increase.
