Julian Nexsen is a founding member of Nexsen Pruet. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of South Carolina and first honor graduate of his USC law school class.

Mr. Nexsen has served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and as a trustee of Congaree Presbytery, is an Elder of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a member of Trinity Presbytery Council.

In 2002 the University of South Carolina Law School honored Mr. Nexsen by giving him a 'Compleat Lawyer Platinum' award. Only three such awards are given out each year. In 2002 both Mr. Nexsen, and another firm member, Harold Jacobs, won this award, which recognizes their distinguished service in South Carolina.
