Thomas Tisdale practices in the litigation and appellate groups.
Mr. Tisdale serves companies and individuals. Among his clients are: The Belle W. Baruch Foundation, Kimberly Clark Corporation, South Carolina Aquarium, and The Beatty Companies.
Mr. Tisdale has been elected President of the South Carolina Historical Society. The Society founded in 1855, is one of the preminent historical societies in America. Its mission is to collect, preserve and publish the history of the State of South Carolina. Mr. Tisdale succeeds Dr. Walter Edgar Who has served as President since 2005.
Mr. Tisdale has been elected to membership on the Board of Trustees of the Southern Education Foundation, a public charity whose mission is the advancement of equity and excellence in the education in the American South.
Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Mr. Tisdale was a founding partner of Young, Clement, Rivers and Tisdale in Charleston, SC. He served as assistant solicitor for the 9th Judicial Circuit and as a municipal court judge for the City of Charleston.
