Brian Kernaghan practices in the areas of taxation, business and real estate, real estate planning, and real estate development.
Mr. Kernaghan has been involved in real estate development, planning, zoning, registration with HUD under the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, as well as developing appropriate covenants, conditions, restriction and easements for residential, commercial and mixed-use planned unit developments.
Mr. Kernaghan's clients include: Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, Tidewater in North Myrtle Beach, the Cliffs communities in Greenville, Pickens and Oconee Counties of South Carolina and Henderson and Buncombe Counties, North Carolina. Mr. Kernaghan also represents various developers in the design and documentation of private, semi-private, and equity membership clubs.
 Career Highlights
- Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Mr. Kernaghan was President and General Counsel of Wild Dunes Associates, the former owner and developer of Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, and Dunes West in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., as well as development manager for Queens Harbour in Jacksonville, Fl., and Bent Tree in Raleigh, N.C.
