"Patriots Point board commits to land sale strategy" Charleston Regional Business Journal December 21, 2010

Nexsen Pruet attorney Neil Robinson shared insight with the Patriots Point Development Authority board members at their retreat on December 16th, 2010. The Charleston Regional Business Journal reported on the meeting in an article entitled "Patriots Point board commits to land sale strategy."
At the event, members "endorsed the idea of selling off pieces of land to developers, rather than offering only long-term leases as it has in the past."
Robinson talked to the board about how "developers have more difficulty getting financing if they are working under a ground lease than they do if they own the land."
Robinson was invited to address the board members due to "his experience with complex development" and because he has "represented developers who previously considered projects at Patriots Point."
