"With market still in the tank, real estate lawyers diversify"

South Carolina Lawyers Weekly    November 30, 2010

Nexsen Pruet attorney Jeff Vinzani shares insight with South Carolina Lawyers Weekly about how the economic downturn has impacted the practice of real estate law.

The article in the November 29th edition is entitled "With market still in the tank, real estate lawyers diversify."

Vinzani told reporter Rick Brundrett that since the recession began he has been handling more workouts for banking clients.  What's more, he has become very active with social media such as LinkedIn and Twitter in order to create new business opportunities.

But, he told the paper that "nothing beats face-to-face meetings" so he has sharpened his focus on networking through organizations such as the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jeff Vinzani is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the South Carolina Bar. He also previously served 2 terms as Chairman of the Developers Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce which is comprised of members of the Chamber who represent various sectors of the real estate development community.
