Governor-Elect Sanford Appoints Nexsen Pruet Attorney December 18, 2002
Charleston, SC -Nexsen Pruet attorney Neil C. Robinson, Jr. has been appointed to Governor-Elect Mark Sanford's Quality of Life Task Force. This group of twenty-four South Carolinians will advise the incoming governor and his administration on a variety of issues concerning life in the Palmetto State.
Robinson says he is pleased to serve. "There should always be a healthy tension between development interests and the need to conserve our State's natural resources. Hopefully, this Task Force will be able to make a meaningful contribution to this important dialogue, and suggest ways to encourage continued responsible economic development that recognizes our unique environment."
Robinson, a Charleston resident, is active in the areas of resort, residential and commercial development. Robinson is Past President of the South Carolina Tourism Council, President of the Coastal Properties Institute, and a member of the Recreation Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. He is also Past President of the Charleston Education Network and the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, and President-Elect of the Clemson Advancement Foundation.
