"New courts get down to business" Charleston The Post and Courier July 20, 2009

Nexsen Pruet attorney Brad Waring is quoted in an article in Charleston's The Post and Courier entitled "New courts get down to business."
The article is about Charleston County's new business court. The Post and Courier reports that it is one of three in South Carolina. The others are in Richland and Greenville Counties and allow businesses to "pursue complex cases, such as trademark issues and corporation questions."
Reporter Robert Behre writes that S.C. Supreme Justice Jean Toal "created the business court pilot program in October 2007 with encouragement from Charleston lawyer Brad Waring, who previously was head of the state Bar." Waring told Behre that he likes the business court because "you get the consistency of one judge, and you get a judge that knows the facts. It's more like federal court where you get assigned a judge."
