Hardaway Leads U.S. Bar Delegation to Japan

Greenville, SC - John B. Hardaway, III, a co-leader of the Intellectual Property Group of the law firm of Nexsen Pruet Jacobs & Pollard, LLP will lead a delegation from the United States Bar to Japan during the week of November 15, 1999. The delegation will be a guest of the Japanese Government for a Symposium and Centennial Celebration of Japan's Accession to the Paris Convention of 1898. His Highness Prince Hitachinomiya will host the reception. Additionally, the Delegation will be the guest of the Tokyo High Court the following day for further discussions of intellectual property matters of mutual interest. At the end of the week the Delegation will meet with officials of the Japanese Patent Office for a day of discussions of pre-selected topics to facilitate mutual understanding, and ease the administrative process for U.S. intellectual property owners in Japan. Mr. Hardaway leads the Delegation in his capacity as Chairman of the Japanese Patent Office Liaison Council of the United States Bar.
