Jeff Vinzani to Serve on Loftis Transition Team

Nexsen Pruet attorney Jeff Vinzani has agreed to serve on the transition team for Curtis Loftis, the unopposed GOP nominee for S.C. State Treasurer.

Vinzani is a member of the firm and practices in the Charleston office. A major emphasis of his law practice is on complex finance and commercial real estate transactions.

As part of the presumptive Treasurer’s transition team, Vinzani will serve on the Board of Financial Institutions Subcommittee. The team’s mission statement says the subcommittee will focus on:

…the meaningful and material aspects of the functions and operations of the State’s supervision and regulation of State chartered banks, trust companies, savings banks and credit unions and identify opportunities for improving its supervisory and regulatory services and function.

The Subcommittee will likewise review the licensing and regulation of consumer finance deferred presentment, check cashing and mortgage lending companies, and identify opportunities for improving its licensing and regulatory services and function.

Vinzani is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the South Carolina Bar. He also previously served 2 terms as Chairman of the Developers Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce which is comprised of members of the Chamber who represent various sectors of the real estate development community. He is involved with several charities including Water Missions International.
