"Lindsey Graham, Billy Wilkins: Federal court not place for terror trials" The Greenville News February 15, 2010
The Greenville News reports on a joint news conference held at Nexsen Pruet's Greenville office.
The on-line article is entitled "Lindsey Graham, Billy Wilkins: Federal court not place for terror trials."
There is growing political debate in Washington and elsewhere about how terrorism cases should be handled. Wilkins told reporters that "civilian courts are capable of dealing with the cases but shouldn't because the system isn't designed for such trials, which have proven 'very disruptive' and risk provoking another attack."
Billy Wilkins is former Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He leads Nexsen Pruet’s White-Collar Crime, Appellate Advocacy, and Corporate Compliance/Crisis Management practice groups and actively participates in the firm’s Business Litigation Group.
