Service Desk Technician/Systems Analyst

Office: Columbia, South Carolina
Experience Needed:

3-6 years of experience supporting computer systems and end users

Experience in the set-up, configuration, use & troubleshooting of computer hardware

The Service Desk Technician/Systems Analyst will be expected to work with engineers in various ongoing projects.

  • Must be organized and have exceptional customer service and follow-through experience
  • Must be able to interact well with staff, managers, and attorneys
  • Must have excellent communication skills to effectively translate and convey complex technical issues within the IT Department and to the customer
  • Law firm experience a strong plus
  • High degree of after-hours availability is critical

  • Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Adaptable to a changing technical environment
  • Proactive in searching for solutions with great communication and regular updates to manager
  • Willing and able to learn and assist with configuration/updates of various software applications
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite 2000/2003/2007 and Outlook 2003
  • Knowledge in printer and computer hardware concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP
  • Use of remote control software such as VNC
  • Able and willing to lift computer and printer equipment, as well as crouch and crawl under objects (such as desks) to access equipment and peripherals
  • Travel to remote offices for technical support is required
