Larkin B. Ellzey practices in the areas of health care, corporate law, and real estate.

Mr. Ellzey regularly advises clients in all aspects of health care transactions, including physician/hospital relationships, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation, leasing and purchase of medical office space, and corporate governance.  Mr. Ellzey works with clients to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations in each of these components.  He also assists businesses and health care entities in the drafting and review of various business agreements. 

Additionally, Mr. Ellzey works with the firm’s corporate and real estate practice groups to assist clients with the purchase and sale of businesses, the purchase and sale of real property, the formation of entities, commercial leasing, and other transactional matters.  

While in law school, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.  He also served as book editor for Southeastern Environmental Law Journal.  The Spring 2007 edition of the journal features a student note Ellzey authored, which is titled: Simsbury-Avon Preservation Society, LLC v. Matacon Gun Club: The Difficult Task of Applying the Supreme Court’s Rapanos Analysis.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk for Nexsen Pruet’s real estate and corporate law practice groups.

  • Amendment to the Stark Law Effective January 1
    The healthcare reform act, known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), has now been passed into law and will affect the lives of Americans in numerous ways. One change impacts the way in which some healthcare entities operate their businesses to comply with the ever changing landscape of the Stark law.
